Women Report Satisfaction with Preventive Mastectomy
Women who elected to lower their high risk of breast cancer by having both breasts surgically removed report being satisfied with the procedure, according to research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (Vol. 284, No. 3).
The researchers found that 70 percent of the women were satisfied or very satisfied with their decision to have the operation, and 67 percent reported they definitely or probably would choose to have the operation again
