LONDON (Reuters) - Political correctness has claimed a new victim as a leading British theater group brings down the curtain on the traditional thespian greeting "darling" because it could be deemed sexual harassment.
The English National Opera said on Thursday new guidelines to staff on appropriate behavior pointed out that use of the term could be offensive.
"The wording of the document says the use of affectionate names such as 'darling' may also constitute sexual harassment," said a spokesman.
