Look out, Vermont! Historic group worried by Wal-Marts
WASHINGTON (AP) — Because of plans for several new Wal-Mart Supercenters across the state, the National Trust for Historic Preservation has placed the entire state of Vermont on its 2004 list of the most endangered historic places in the United States.

I like shopping at wal-mart as much as the next person but....
They are bad about destroying land.
Since I moved here 3 years ago, 2 walmarts have closed, leaving empty buildings on huge chunks of concrete.
Why did they close? Because they built supercenters, thus destroying more land.
I mean, why not just ADD ON to the current building. In the long run it has to be tons cheaper for them.
ps...thanks for the well wishes.
