London - Two British warships crashed a few kilometres off the coast of southern England while showing off manoeuvres to dignitaries, the Ministry of Defence said on Saturday.
The frigates Argyll and Kent were carrying out displays about 15 kilometres from the naval base of Plymouth on Thursday when their hulls scraped against each other.
"There was a minor collision," a spokesperson said.
"It was a Sea Day when they take people on ships to show them what the navy does."
