    Teen Suicides Linked to Witchcraft
Police say two Knox girls stepped in path of train Saturday

(WSBT) 13-year-olds Sarah Casey and Debra Jean Kawaguchi stepped in front of a train Saturday.

Investigators say Casey and Kawaguchi got involved in WICCA, a form of withcraft, and the girls believed by committing suicide they would be reincarnated.

Friends of the victims at Knox Middle School say they know of other students who have also participated in what is sometimes called a religion.

“In school, I just had a girl tell me that she practiced witchcraft with them,” says classmate Darienne Griffith.

Police are now looking for answers into a practice they didn’t know even existed in their community.

  • Wicca is a religion though.

  • What the HELL!? They didn’t even know it existed in their community? Did they live out in hickville or something? Geez…It’s not like they were worshipping Satan or sacrificing goats…they were just dumb suicidal teenagers!

  • How tragic! But terrible that they are blaming the religion.

  • Are kids getting dumber these days?

  • There have been multiple follow-up articles to this case.  There has been a huge response from the pagan community across the country.  The most updated article atm, while not saying much, does pull away from the whole Wicca aspect.

  • Yeah, I posted about this too. It goes under category “People so dumb as this shouldn’t be allowed to live” – referring to the community. And whoever put ‘Wicca’ in all-caps.
