Robertson: If Bush ‘touches’ Jerusalem, we’ll form 3rd party

If President George W. Bush shifted his position toward support for Jerusalem as a capital for both Israel and a Palestinian state, his Evangelical backing would disappear, evangelist Pat Robertson told a Jerusalem news conference Monday.
“If he were to touch Jerusalem, Evangelicals would form a third party”
He said he “sends notice” that “you will not frustrate God’s plan” to have Jews rule the Holy Land until the Second Coming of Jesus.
Only God should decide if Israel should relinquish control of the lands it captured in the 1967 war, including the Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem, Robertson said, in a reference to Sharon’s plan to pull out of Gaza next year.
“God says, ‘I’m going to judge those who carve up the West Bank and Gaza Strip,’” Robertson said. “‘It’s my land and keep your hands off it.’”

Who would they back? Never mind. It’s a frightening thought and I’m just going to pretend that this isn’t even a possibility and that I never read this.
God. It’s odd how people break almost half the rules of the religion to protect the religion. People do what’s “best for their religion” and ends screwing up everything big time. Not all the time. A lot of times though.
I sometimes feel so sure that God does not exist…

but are they the ones murdering scores of people simpily b/c THEIR Allah tells them? No! so deal with the fanatics that kill people and want YOU dead- all this is some freaking red herring for the REAL problem- there will always be raticals- and our society works around them and finds what’s best for the majority. as long as they aren’t trying to kill me and hate me for everything I am- then their words fall to my deaf ears- maybe your blood pressure would be lower if you considered that.
Robertson is scary. Period.
