Ann Cockcroft, 56, says she was making scrambled eggs when she made the discovery.
"The yolk normally goes through the hen's body and into its shell gland, a shell is produced and the egg laid a few hour later."

A 12-year-old Costa Rican girl who complained of a tummy ache has had a 17 inch hairball removed from her stomach.
The girl, from Ciudad Neily, whose name was not released, had complained of stomach pains but no one knew she had the habit of eating her own hair.

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - An Icelandic fishing captain, known as "the Iceman" for his tough character, grabbed a 660-pound shark with his bare hands as it swam in shallow water toward his crew.
The skipper of the trawler "Erik the Red" was on a beach in Kuummiit, east Greenland, watching his crew processing a catch when he saw the shark swimming toward his men. Captain Sigurdur Petursson ran into the shallow water and grabbed the shark by its tail. He dragged it off to dry land and killed it with his knife. "He caught it just with his hands. There was a lot of blood in the sea and the shark came in and he thought it was dangerous,".

LONDON (Reuters) - A British couple have been forced to move house because of the shame caused by the name of their street -- Butt Hole Road.
Paul and Lisa Allott sold their $250,000 bungalow, fed up with the constant leg-pulling.
Taxis and pizza delivery men would fail to turn up, thinking their order was just a prank, and they grew tired with groups of youths posing for photos by the nearby street sign with their buttocks bared.
Attempts by Reuters to contact the new residents were unsuccessful -- they have taken a confidential telephone number.
