A Hindu view of Christmas

The Hindus believe that Lord Jesus is an Avtar and his birth is in accordance with the scripture injunction contained in the Bhagavad Gita when Lord Sri Krishna spoke to his disciple Arjuna. “Whenever there is a decline of righteousness on earth and unrighteousness takes over, then I manifest myself from age to age to rid the world of its suffering.”
The world needs peace (Shanti) and Jesus the son of God was sent to re-establish. My peace I give unto you. He came to maintain the Old order. I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. In my father’s house there are many mansions and if it were not so I would have told you so. The world needs no more war and I am telling you so. One thing I would not like to be this Christmas is a turkey. A Merry Christmas to all people of the one world.
