More than 600 people from 44 countries, including teenagers, are being held by the U.S. at Guantánamo.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that detainees may be held indefinitely, even if eventually charged and acquitted.  He has also said that if the government determines that any individual is a continuing threat, detainees may be imprisoned for the rest of their lives.

  • Hmm makes me wonder exactly how many detainees are being held not just there, but at various locations world wide.  And it also makes me wonder if there are people being detained right here in the U.S.

  • justice in "dick" Cheney's America

  • but god forbid any other country hold an american.

  • It is sad that you used an American POW/MIA symbol for this article.

Maybe the difference between American POWs and one held in Cuba is that while our military and government care about every single man, other countries let their lost soilders rot and be forgotten.

Read the words on the image: You Are Never Forgotten.

Does Iraq remember, Afghanistan, or Kuwait?
