  Moose hoisted 50ft into the air

  
  

  Workers were putting up overhead power lines to the Teko Pogo goldmine when a curious 1200lb bull moose got his antlers caught.

  
  

  Workers further down the line couldn't see the entangled animal when they pulled the wires tight, hoisting the moose 50 feet up into the air.

  
  

  Wildlife experts say the moose may have been fighting with the moving wires when it was plucked from the ground.

  
  

  "The only unfortunate part is we had to shoot the moose."
