Girl, 12, beheaded Christmas night

PAMPLONA, Negros Oriental -- A 12-year-old girl ended her Christmas in tragedy after an unidentified man barged into her family's house in Sitio Habitat, Barangay Poblacion near midnight of December 25 and beheaded her.
Irish Fabillar, a grade 4 pupil of Pamplona Elementary School, was alone in the house with her two-year-old brother and had just returned home after caroling that evening.
Her two elder brothers found their younger sister already beheaded when they returned from caroling around 11 p.m.
Fabillar's body was sprawled beside her sleeping two-year-old brother.
The girl's father believed his daughter's killing could be linked to his quarrel with a man over a chicken.
A post mortem examination at Bais District Hospital showed the girl was not raped and that she was beheaded with a scythe.
